Katie Thompson
Katie graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2009 and worked in private practice in SW England for several years. She spent her first few years advancing her skills in gentler techniques such as NeuroImpulse Protocol, Cranial Sacral Technique and focusing on pregnancy and paediatric patients. She returned to WIOC in 2016 as a clinical supervising tutor and it was through meeting undergraduate students that she learnt of the World Spine Care organisation. Katie was very excited to have the opportunity to spend some time working as a chiropractor in a developing country for an organisation such as WSC along with being able to travel and learn about a new culture in a different part of the world.
“I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed working as part of the team in Botswana. I’ve had a truly rewarding and eye opening experience working with the other volunteers and local people.”
