Nathalie Gomez Abreu

Nathalie Gomez Abreu, MD graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) Santiago, Dominican Republic (DR) in 2008. 

Being a voracious reader, a devoted physician with a curious soul account for her diverse practice interests, though her passion relies on the field of mental health.  Shortly after graduating she moved to Santo Domingo, the capital city of DR, where she stayed and did her internship under the Cardiovascular Department at "Centros De Diagnósticos, Medicina Avanzada y Telemedicina (CEDIMAT)".  After that she practiced as a general physician for "Instituto Bariátrico" and "Servicios Médicos Consulares". Afterward, she became certified in the United States of America (USA) for the Educational Committee of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and for the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) and did an externship under the Psychiatry Department at Coler Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center and at Henry J. Carter Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility in New York (NY).  Currently, she is specializing in Psychiatry at Hospital Psiquiátrico Padre Billini (HPPB) located in Santo Domingo, DR, and already has a fellowship in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) with Columbia  University Medical Center, NY. 

In 2014 she met Dr. Patricia Tavares and she introduced her to WSC and this current project. Soon she became actively involved as a medical consultant by supplying expertise when needed.
