Shelagh Haynes
Shelagh graduated from Queen’s University in 2009 with her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. While at Queen’s, her student clinical placements took her from Moose Factory, Ontario to London, UK. She has since worked in a variety of settings, including long-term care, home care, school care, and private practice orthopaedics. She has taken continuing education courses in a range of orthopaedic disciplines such as Mulligan “mobilization with movement” techniques, therapeutic taping, acupuncture, the thoracic ring approach, trigger point dry needling, and Active Release Techniques (ART). She has also completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification at Adishesha Yoga Zone and loves to incorporate yoga into her practice as a method of healing. Shelagh’s passion lies in using an active, hands-on, holistic approach to getting her patients back to doing the activities that are most meaningful to them.
In her spare time, Shelagh does yoga, plays soccer, and runs along the canal. She is also an avid traveler, having recently returned from volunteering with World Spine Care in the Dominican Republic.
