Vincent Setlhare
Vincent Setlhare MD, graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Dar es Salaam. He then completed his specialty training in Family Medicine (MFamMed) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a Fellowship in Global Health Leadership from Afya Bora Consortium, a partnership of nine universities:
University of Nairobi and the University of Washington
University of Botswana and the University of Pennsylvania
Makerere University and Johns Hopkins University
Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences and the University of California, San Francisco
University of Buea and Johns Hopkins University
Dr. Setlhare worked in a private rural clinic for many years before joining the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Botswana six years ago. He is currently a senior lecturer and acting head of the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health. He has been chairman of the Botswana Medical and Dental Association and President of the Private Practitioner’s Group (Botswana).
He also has an MBA from the University of Botswana.
