World Spine Care representatives to participate in WFC Biennial Congress 2021
The World Federation of Chiropractic’s Biennial Congress is set to take virtually this September 23-25, 2021. Various representatives from World Spine Care–including staff, clinical coordinators, board members, and volunteers–are set to participate in the event.
The congress theme, Chiropractic for a New Normal, is intended to “showcase the leading global advances in chiropractic” in a post-COVID world. Speakers from around the world will present the latest evidence for providing quality, evidence-based spinal care that puts the patient first.
Patricia Tavares, World Spine Care Clinical Coordinator for the Dominican Republic, will give a platform presentation on “Distance management of spinal disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond,” based on the peer-reviewed journal article of the same title that was published this past April.
Botswana Clinical Coordinator, Mufudzi Chihambakwe, will represent Spine Health Africa to discuss “Universal Health Coverage: Serving the Underserved” alongside Steven Passmore, a member of the Global Spine Care Initiative research committee.
Numerous others involved in World Spine Care will also have a presence at the 3-day event. WFC Secretary-General, Richard Brown, who also sits on the World Spine Care board of directors, will provide the opening remarks alongside WFC President Carlos Ayres. The NCMIC Research Award for Outstanding Research is given in honor of Scott Haldeman, founder and president of World Spine Care. Deborah Kopansky-Giles, a member of the World Spine Care Canada board of directors, will present “A Global Strategy of Musculoskeletal Health” based on the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Research report.
Nathan Cashion, World Spine Care director of communications, will attend the event virtually and report on notable sessions.
The World Federation of Chiropractic has long been a supporter of World Spine Care as an endorsing professional association.
Early bird registration for the WFC Congress ends on August 14th, 2021 while registration remains open until the 21st of September.
Registrants will attend virtually with live and pre-recorded sessions. On-demand access will be available through Oct 31, 2021.
