Sarah Potthoff is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic who has traveled the world in her practice. She has worked at Walter Reed National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, the Mahalapye District Hospital in Botswana, Africa and was in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Potthoff attained her degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa, where she was member of the women’s basketball team.

Dr. Potthoff’s unique clinical background is driven by her passion to promote an integrative, patient-centered approach to healthcare. Inspired by the unmet need for complementary and alternative medicine in America’s failing health care system, particularly for low back pain and many musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Potthoff has focused her work to fit such multidisciplinary settings. In her spare time she enjoys playing basketball, Olympic weightlifting, yoga, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.

“My World Spine Care experience opened my eyes to the importance of cultural sensitivity and the importance of musculoskeletal health in developing countries.
Integration of chiropractic services in a completely different healthcare environment allowed me to see the unique differences that had to occur while stressing the overall importance communication and collaboration in healthcare.”
