The 2021 Helping Hands fundraising campaign was a great success! Thanks to donors like you, we exceeded our goal in Canada and raised more than ever before in the US.

The 2021 Helping Hands fundraising campaign was a great success! Each year we set our sights a little bit higher and we continue to be delighted by the support of the spine care community.

Helping Hands began years ago as one doctor’s idea to “work a day for World Spine Care.” Dr. Mark Perrett took the collections from one day’s worth of patient visits and donated them to World Spine Care. Over the next few years, he encouraged more and more doctors to join him. Now, it has grown into a three-month-long campaign to further World Spine Care’s mission of providing quality, evidence-based spine care to underserved communities through our clinics in Botswana, Ghana, India, and the Dominican Republic.

Thanks to the generous donations from people all over the world, World Spine Care Canada surpassed their goal of $15,000 and World Spine Care USA raised over $6,000–more online donations than any previous year.

Reflecting on the past year, World Spine Care president, Scott Haldeman said, “The last couple of years have been difficult but the World Spine Team and its family of volunteers have continued their commitment to the mission of the organization. The number of supporters and donors to World Spine Care and its social media presence has grown significantly over the past 2 years. World Spine Care has never been stronger.”

The successful campaign is also thanks to the planning and hard work of a team of dedicated staff, volunteers, and committee members.

World Spine Care thanks all of those involved in making the 2021 Helping Hands campaign a success.
