Would you like to combine your skills in written communication and manual therapy? Are you interested in volunteering with a global leader in evidence-based, multidisciplinary spine care? Are you eager to get involved with World Spine Care, but not able to travel to one of our clinics?

Build your resume and improve your clinical communication by joining the World Spine Care Communications committee.

World Spine Care is a global charity on a mission to improve lives in underserved communities. We aim to create a world in which everyone has access to the highest quality spine care possible.

The Marketing & Communications committee is currently seeking a volunteer to assist with writing content for our website and blog in order to provide updates and clinical insights into the topics of prevention, management, and treatment of spinal disorders, global health, and more. Students are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Background in musculoskeletal healthcare, e.g. chiropractic, physical therapy, physiatry (students welcome)

  • Excellent written skills

  • Ability to read and synthesize news and scientific articles covering current events and research

  • Ability to write summaries for a lay audience

  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, blog CMS (e.g. WordPress, Squarespace), SEO, and online communication

Time commitment: approximately 3-5 hours per month

Nathan Cashion, DC

Nathan Cashion is the Director of Digital Communications. He started volunteering with World Spine Care as a social media coordinator during chiropractic school. He traveled to Navi Mumbai, India, with the clinical team to establish the MGM Collaboration project.

He is the father of 2 active boys and resides in Oregon City, Oregon, USA.
