A Volunteer Story – Meet Mufudzi
I first became involved with World Spine Care as a student in 2013. Finally, this year, after a great deal of patience and perseverance, I was able to join the team in Botswana. Volunteering has been such a rewarding and unbelievable experience. Here are just a few of the things I have learned in my time here so far.

The Third World Spine Care Botswana Spine Care Conference
On May 7 and May 8, 2018 World Spine Care, in cooperation with the Botswana Ministry of Health organized the Third World Spine Care Conference at the Gaborone International Convention Center in Botswana. It is reported to have been the largest health care or medical conference to be held in the country of Botswana and demonstrates the impact that the World Spine Care program has had in this country.
World Spine Care Yoga Project - Spring 2018 Update
Unique in the both the yoga and the NGO communities, the World Spine Care Yoga Project brings the practices of posture, breath work, and mindfulness as tools for pain management and active self-care to patients in World Spine Care clinics. This year, Co-directors Erin Moon and Barrie Risman have been hard at work expanding and sharing the work of the Yoga Project.
